 A report which is written by USA Today columnist Steve Strauss presents the observations of the U.S. Small Business enterprises. He believes a noteworthy trend in 2012, including ONLINE VIDEO, SOCIAL MEDIA AND MOBILE MARKETING will rise.

In addition, the digital marketing tools has become mature. enterprises not only invest large budgets in digital marketing but also work on how effectively assess and measure the benefits created by digital marketing.




2012 Internet Marketing focuses on integration of AUDIO and VIDEO, COMMUNITY, and ACTION: how ACTION and VIDEO generate deeper interaction (ex. blenddtec), how ACTION and VIDEO create broader share (ex. why Instagram is popular), how ACTION and VIDEO create more content, and how to strengthen consumer's branding impression through mobile video advertising in order to increase the click through rate of advertising.

In the report, according to Cisco's statistics, online video accounted for 50% of all network traffic. Last year, nearly 200 million Americans watch online video EACH MONTH, and about 100 million people watch online video everyday.

The report also pointed out that many people like to watch video. It's not only for entertainment but also for "increasing sales".  
The Onlineshoes.com pointed out that using video marketing increased the site conversion rate up to 45%. The Zappos.com also said that selling shoes via video marketing strategies increased the sales rate up to 30%.  
Small companies should strengthen the combination of audio and video marketing which is very important for no matter  the marketing goods or instructional videos.

How to create more 

Good issues can lead to more "resonance", and this resonance is most from emotional or fun. Due to the rise of resonate, naturally it lets your fans or consumers to create identity. However, as soon as the identity has been created, the original relations of production system may be instantly reversed, and fans or consumers are transformed into content producers in order to create more and new content for the brand.

However, when there are plenty of content, the next step is to make your fans and consumers have more "convenient" access to these. It is necessary to establish your good  "path", which is like Facebook currently has over 800 million members. Many companies have established a fan groups, but it may be also believed that the business official website with only a Facebook fan group is enough. It's not true, because these are not the same platform. Facebook fans group emphasizes on social contact, because it involves in your real social life. On the other hand, Youtube is like a multi-channel studios.


According to the latest report of Econsultancy, it shows that the mobile marketing budget this year focuses on the mainstream of "APP" and "QR Code". This report is based on 500 global companies and agencies' marketing budget. In 2012, approximately 45% of company will increase the overall marketing budget, but only 16% of enterprises will increase the marketing budget of traditional media and more than 68% of company will prepare to increase marketing budget.

However, not starting to use a variety of digital marketing tools or invest large sums of budget will be able to show amazing results, which is different with the traditional media in the past: exposure.  

Using CPC advertising model, digital media focuses more on analysis, observation and optimization. Previous marketing emphasized on activity-oriented and measure the performance by is its achievements with the "numbers". However, digital marketing is supposed to "OPTIMIZE" which shows the pursuit of per second, every minute and daily progress.
